I have not even posted anything yet in 2009. SHAME on me! Well, not a lot is going on. I have gone back to work as a substitute at my old job, and will be working every afternoon until April. We have been having fun with family lately...
Matthew, is now 5 months old and he has done all of these things lately:
~Tried green beans from canning. He hated them!! But it was his first "food."
~Has had carrots too, this time it was a baby food jar, and hated it the first time. I got a picture of his face, and when I get home I will have to post it. It was priceless! But he LOVES THEM now.
~ At Grandma's birthday party last weekend he decided to use his super baby powers and practically leaped into her birthday cake, getting it all over his fingers! silly boy.
~ Also, at grandma's birthday party, he was very keen on getting my cup full of water from my hands and into his mouth, so I let him try to drink from it. AND HE DID! So, we gave him a sippy cup, and he loved it. But, I am too chicken and I think it isn't good for him, so I haven't let him do it since.
~ He has started sitting up without help on his own, but has crashed a few times.
~ Matthew knows 2 volumes. Screeching and talking. We usually wake up to the baby monitor in the morning with his little talking/screeching noises. It is SO much better than crying!
~ He sleeps from 9:15pm to 8 am. Beautiful!
~ He loves dad and Guss. And grandma. And definately Grandpa.
~ Is trying to get a tooth. And drools everywhere!
~ He is starting to enjoy being on his tummy.
~ He has also had his first cold. Poor baby. And he gave it to me, it stunk!
So, I think that is it. Or at least all I can think of.
Other than that, everything is peachy keen. I can't believe how much he's grown. He's starting to be like a toddler baby rather than a little teeny newborn! WOW.
